Using heat to create memories!
Wood and soft surfaces lend themselves to a completely different method in order to personalize them. Because wood is porous, paint can chip away over time. Burning the art into the surface is a more permanent option, and it is also food safe, which is great for gifts that belong in the kitchen such as charcuterie and bread boards, wooden utensils and bowls.
Heat foiling is a method that lays down colored foil onto the surface. This can be used on real leather, vegan leather and other select soft surfaces. The effect is permanent, and can be the best option when paint pens won't work. Items such as luggage tags, desk blotters and handbags are all perfectly suited to personalize using shimmering foil.
Leather debossing is another heat-permanent option. This surface works best on genuine leather, and the letters are literally burned, or branded, into the item for a permanent impression in the surface.
