Making place cards is one of my absolute favorite ways to add elegance to your event. It is also one of the most common calligraphy requests. Almost everyone can find a place in their budget for place cards. They can be anywhere from a classic black and white look to extravagant handmade paper from India with silk ribbons and gold ink. Regardless of the style you choose, any table setting benefits from the handmade touch of custom place card calligraphy that you just can't get with something printed en masse online.
There are also so many creative things you can do with place cards, and so many mediums you can use to make them! Custom die-cuts, sand dollars, sea glass, even leaves and lemons make their appearances with names across the surface. Take a peek at the gallery below for some of my favorite projects, and then start dreaming of your very own! I love a challenge...what's the most interesting thing you've seen used as a place card? Tell me about it!!
